Braintree, MA (November 22, 2017) – Peabody Properties has been recognized by The Massachusetts Housing Finance Agency (MassHousing) for their multi-million-dollar expenditures with Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (M/WBEs) during fiscal year 2017.
Peabody Properties, one of five property management firms from across the state to take top honors from MassHousing, ranks number one for its partnerships with M/WBEs. In fiscal 2017, Peabody Properties awarded $5.8 million to Minority-Owned Businesses and $2.6 million to Women-Owned Businesses.
The announcement was made during MassHousing’s annual awards ceremony where 51 property management companies and four general contractors were recognized for making concerted efforts to partner with M/WBEs this fiscal year, resulting in a total of $169 million in revenue to diverse suppliers.
The MassHousing Minority and Women-Owned Businesses Enterprises Vendor Program helps Minority and Women-Owned Businesses benefit from the economic opportunities created by MassHousing-financed rental housing.
