
Charlestown, MA (October 21, 2016) – Charlestown resident/Somerville native Louise Palmer recently celebrated her 100th birthday with friends, family and fun. More than 70 guests, including 15 of Louise’s nieces and nephews and three cousins, attended the festivities at Zelma Lacey House, where Palmer has resided for the past 12 years after moving from her family home in Somerville. The special day included a cake featuring a portrait of Louise and entertainment by vocalist Joe Barilone who performed a variety of music for all generations. Louise, a passionate artist who sketched in pencil, worked for the Credit Bureau in Boston and later Polaroid in Waltham and credits her long life to happiness and positivity.
