A group of young residents at Fairhaven Village – a 169 apartment home community managed by full-service real estate firm Peabody Properties, Inc. – recently kicked off the start of the property’s Arts and Crafts program.

Each week the youngsters, with the help of Fairhaven Village resident volunteers and instructor Rayana Grace, Director of Youth Development at the New Bedford YMCA, try out new craft projects, learn the value of teamwork and time management, and develop essential social skills. The 35-week is funded by a Youth Resident Activities Program grant from MassHousing, which provides educational, employment, and recreational activities to young residents of MassHousing-financed properties.
