For the third consecutive year, young residents of The Saunders School Apartments – a 16-unit supportive housing development in Lawrence managed by full-service real estate firm Peabody Properties, Inc. – recently received new backpacks donated by Compass Community College Collaborative (CCCC) in partnership with Cradles to Crayons.
CCCC provides homeless parents, as well as those at high risk of homelessness, with a supportive community college-based education program. The CCCC program partners locally with public and private organizations, businesses and individuals to provide families with the resources, education and support that promote self-sufficiency and lead to a brighter future.
CCCC and Cradles to Crayons’ donation helps to ensure that all school-aged residents of The Saunders School Apartments are able to have backpacks for the coming school year.
