Rogers Hall Apartments Honored as a Community of Quality by National Affordable Housing Management Association
Rogers Hall Apartments – a Lowell, Massachusetts-based senior apartment community featuring 60 residences which is managed by full-service real estate firm Peabody Properties, Inc. – was recently recognized by the National Affordable Housing Management Association (NAHMA) with the 2015 Exemplary Development for the Elderly Community of Quality Award.
Each year, NAHMA’s Community of Quality Awards recognizes top national performers in the affordable, multifamily housing community sector. Winners must achieve a high standard of excellence in several areas including physical maintenance, financial management, residential programs and services and employee credentials.
Rogers Hall Apartments, a Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Section 202 elderly housing development, provides its 62 residents with supportive services, coordinated activities and an affordable aging-in-place model. The property offers an on-site service coordinator to ensure that residents experience a high quality living environment, as well as access to a wide range of social and physical activities. Offerings include monthly health clinics, nutrition, exercise and wellness programs, intergenerational programming with a local elementary school and educational seminars. As a result of the continued support and services offered, many of the residents have called Rogers Hall home for as long as 25 years.
According to Melissa Fish-Crane, Principal and Chief Operating Officer at Peabody Properties, the Community of Quality Award is a testament to Peabody Properties’ commitment to its residents.
“We strive to maintain the highest standard of resident services and overall property management at Peabody Properties,” said Fish-Crane. “The team at Rogers Hall works diligently, day in and day out, to provide key services to residents while overseeing facility maintenance and management. We applaud them on this well-deserved recognition from NAHMA.”
Peabody Properties and Rogers Hall Apartments were recognized at NAHMA’s annual Federal Affairs Issues Winter Meeting in Washington, DC. The four 2015 Community of Quality winners were selected from a group of 50 affordable communities, nationwide.
