
Braintree and Springfield, MA (June 15, 2018) – Peabody Properties announced today that the Resident Services division of Pynchon/Edgewater Apartments, a Peabody Properties managed community located in Springfield, Mass., held its second annual community wellness fair recently held its first community wellness fair earlier this month.
The Pynchon/Edgewater Community Wellness Fair welcomed approximately 75 residents of the community, who were able to explore a variety of community resources available to them. Participating organizations included PPI Home Care Program, New North Citizens Council, Holyoke Community College, Quality Life “Cana,” Brightwood Health Center, Springfield Police Department, Future Works, Gandara, Greater Springfield Senior Services, Springfield Fire Department Fire Prevention Unit, and many more. These agencies offered services ranging from information and access to hands-on assessments including blood pressure checks.
“Our second annual Community Wellness Fair was a huge success,” said Lisa Gagne, Resident Services Manager for Pynchon/Edgewater Apartments. “Everyone seemed to have a great time, and we had a fantastic turnout of residents, vendors, and community members all enjoying music, food, and a variety of healthcare vendors encouraging healthier choices and ways to improve health.
“We are very grateful to the Springfield Police and State Police for their unending support, and to the whole Pynchon/Edgewater team who assisted in making this event such a success.”
